Dismal end for the Reds.

The Cincinnati Reds season was, heart breaking to say the least. They went 97 wins and 65 loses, became the Central Division Champions, and started the World Series playoffs this 2012 season. They then completely swept  the San Fran Giants for the first two games and then they managed to fall apart and blow it the last three. I'll just return to a fair weather Reds general Cincinnati sports fan. The "Votto" painting was part of an art showing all around Mount Adams, near downtown Cincinnati. It was painted by a friends brother, Greg Matsey. Any contact information and more of his paintings and drawings can be found at his website Greg Matsey Design or his Facebook page.

Friends, Family, and a Great City

The second part of my post-college graduation trip. San Francisco, the most diverse location I've ever been too. I spent a week surrounded with excellent restaurants and nice people. The first three show a stream feeding onto a lake inside Golden Gate Park. The next was taken from a friends roof top. Obviously one of many spectacular views this great city had to offer. I met up with one of my cousins who I hadn't seen in years. We walked through the financial district and saw the Sentenal Building, with it's copper clad windows. Another friend agreed to a portrait in Dolores Park. Dolores Park is becoming increasingly popular as it was full pf people every time I went there. Obviously the most famous bridge in history, The Golden Gate Bridge almost completely covered in the iconic San Fran' fog. I highly recommend visiting San Francisco if you've never been there.

Dynamite and Blasting Caps

There was a really neat free exhibit at the Cincinnati Museum Center. Museum faculty, as well as visitors, dressed up as if the station was in its 1940's hay day. Guests were invited to listen to a spectacular "Big Band". In another room there were tables set up with authentic World War II equipment as well as a viewing of period specific women's hairstyles and attire.

Forgotten

These pictures were placed in the wrong folder and looked over for quite a while. Originally taken 5/21/2011 at Eden Park, most of the others turned out just as good. Too bad it took this long to find them again, but at least I did.

Summer Celebration

All were taken during the Red, White, and Blue Ash fireworks show during this years Fourth of July celebration. Only touched up a little to eliminate some of the smoke from the previous fireworks. This summer has been unusually hot, the fourth was no exception. Now with most of the country in a drout and a heat advisory, its pretty hard to muster up the energy to do anything outside. Since I just graduated/started working full time/getting ready to move/probably have to buy a new car post might be a little sparse, but stay tuned I'll post them when I can.

Art Museum Photo Shoot

Two more shots from the DAAP photo shoot. These were taken at the Cincinnati Art Museum in front of a huge window letting in a ton of natural light.

From Industry to Farms

Right after graduating from college I took a two week vacation to visit out of state friends before I started at work. I visited the small town of Rochester Minnesota to visit my friend who I had taken the fashion shoot photos for. The quite little town had some amazing light for taking photographs.

Museum Center Photo Shoot

Two of many from a photo shoot I did for a friend. She had designed this outfit in her final class in the DAAP program at The University of Cincinnati. These were taken at the Cincinnati Museum Center in Cincinnati. It was pretty hard to shoot there; there wasn't a lot of light, even during the middle of the day. After a little editing they turned out alright.

Sunshine and Lightning

A sunset just outside of the Cincinnati Zoo. I was finally able to catch a recent lightning storm. Shooting lightning is harder than it seems, especially without a lightning trigger that signals the shutter to trigger at the instance of a bright light source. I simply set the shutter to 30 seconds and hoped for the best. This was the only picture, of about 40, that contained lightning.
